Dear Human,
It is simple, you put food in, it has to be digested, assimilated and excreted. if it stays in forever it is not going to turn out well. Everything that begins wants to complete its cycle. Same is for anger.
What we see all around us as “anger’, is “UNFELT ANGER” trying to constantly looking to find way to its natural completion.
We know UNFELT ANGER as hurt.
I invite you now, to meet “FELT ANGER” as nourishment, grounding and love of the fierce mother in your body.
Join a small group of women, to truly feel anger and to cultivate aliveness & feel nourished.
This space has no agenda other than to provide a structure, a container for you to get real with yourself and specifically with the emotion of anger. You don’t have to be anything for anyone here. It is created for you and does not have to look like anything other than your truth.
Orient to Anger
Anger is not..
- Identifying with anger is not feeling anger.
- Projecting anger on another or on a situation is not feeling anger.
- Blaming someone to make you angry is not feeling anger.
- Screaming at someone is not feeling anger (there is a type of scream, rather roar that is a great tool to feel anger but its different from bursting without intention).
- Suppressing anger is definitely not feeling anger and it is also not staying regulated.
All of them are distractions from the actual feeling All of them are the expressions of UNFELT ANGER trying to find completion to its natural cycle. All of them are valid coping mechanisms. It is however important to differentiate them from the FEELING of anger.
Which in its essence is quite simple. You just feel. Without identifying, without judging, without making it mean anything. You feel. Your body already knows how to feel and always is.
In this workshop I will provide you support to reach that knowing in the presence of a community. I cannot tell you what anger is, but I can guide you to feel it and orient you around it.
Flow of workshop
- I will guide you into the feeling of sensations in your body. Through this you’ll be able to discern sensations and feel in general.
- Then I will guide you to meet this energy that we call anger in your body, meet the sensations of anger through a simple process. Through this you’ll be able to recognize anger and get familiar with it.
- I will then share with you various tools to create a structure in which this energy, emotion of anger can move and be felt in a safe, contained and free manner.
- We will practice creating these structures and feeling sensations of anger within them together.
- I will then guide you into a mini collective anger release : a space to journey into a situation that you feel anger towards and experience in real time the natural flow of this energy, of what it means to actually FEEL anger.
- We will close the workshop with a warm, feminine embodiment practice together as a community.
- There will be spaces for shares and questions throughout.
This is a general structure of the workshop however it may differ slightly to acommodate the pace and needs of everyone present.
